St. Michael’s Pro Life Ministry, with assistance from Women’s CRHP is starting the Elizabeth Ministry Rosebud Program
The Rosebud program honors the sacredness of life.
In our chapel, near the statue of Mary, silk rosebuds can be found in a small basket next to a vase filled with baby’s breath.
Pink rosebuds honor pregnancy and the unborn baby.
Red rosebuds celebrate a birth or adoption.
Yellow rosebuds represent prayers requested for those desiring to conceive, suffering infertility or seeking to adopt.
White rosebuds remember a child lost through miscarriage, abortion, stillbirth, infant or child death.
Small tags will also be found in the basket with the corresponding color rose on them. Fill in the card, date it, attach it to a rose and place it in the vase. Those who come into the chapel will pray for all the intentions on the tagged roses. Roses will be kept in the vase for a period of time. The families listed on the tags will be contacted by Elizabeth Ministry for support. There will also be a small rack with prayer cards corresponding to the color of the rose. Those are to be taken home by the person placing the rose in the vase.
ST. MICHAEL PARISH
